Quick answer

Upload in 30-minute batches throughout the day, publish your first highlight reel during cocktail hour, push the ceremony folder before dinner, and send the final gallery link before the last dance. Five drops, zero panic.

Before you begin

Prerequisites

  • The Wedding-Day Readiness Playbook completed the night before.
  • Story Mode templates queued for Getting Ready, Ceremony and First Dance.
  • The gallery share link already delivered to the couple.

You'll walk away with

  • Five timed gallery drops between getting-ready and last dance.
  • The couple receives a complete, branded gallery before leaving the venue.
  • Guests share content on social before they go home — and tag the couple's vendors.

A same-day gallery is not one delivery at midnight. It is five small deliveries spread across the day. Each one creates anticipation, each one feels generous, and each one removes work from the post-wedding edit pile.

The blueprint below is the rhythm Aisle's top 5% of creators use on every wedding. Five drops, mapped to natural pauses in the day. You don't sit down to edit — you let the gallery build itself between the moments you're already shooting.

The five drops

  1. 1Drop 1 — Getting Ready highlight (~10 clips). Publish during the bridal party drive to the venue.
  2. 2Drop 2 — First Look highlight (~6 clips). Publish during ceremony setup.
  3. 3Drop 3 — Ceremony folder (~25 clips). Publish during cocktail hour.
  4. 4Drop 4 — Portraits + reception entrance (~15 clips). Publish before the first dance.
  5. 5Drop 5 — Full gallery + Story Mode reel. Publish before the last dance, share with the couple in person.

  2. 2Auto-publish toggle — clips inside a folder go live the moment you tap Publish.
  3. 3Couple notification — they get a push the second a drop goes live.
  4. 4Vendor mirror — each drop syncs to vendor collections automatically.

How to upload without breaking the day

The mistake is treating uploading as a separate task. It isn't. Aisle uploads continuously in the background while you shoot. Your only manual action is tapping Publish at the five mapped moments.

Use the natural pauses in the day to publish: as the couple is walking out of the suite, as guests are being seated, while the bar is open, between courses, between sets. Three taps, ten seconds, done. The crowd sees you working the room — they don't see a creator hunched over a laptop.

What the couple sees

Each drop arrives as a push notification on their phone. The couple unlocks it, sees the latest moments, and — almost always — shares one or two to their own story. By the time you hand them the final gallery in person, they have already shown their friends what you made for them.

This is the moment Aisle was built for. It is also where same-day galleries become a referral engine: every shared clip carries your watermark, your studio handle, and a link back to the gallery you can resend to anyone the couple knows.

Common mistakes

  • Saving all uploads for the reception block. The cocktail-hour drop is the one that creates buzz.
  • Publishing without curating. Even a same-day drop should be the best 10 clips, not the first 10.
  • Skipping the in-person handoff. Drop 5 is also a moment — be there for it.
  • Forgetting to enable Vendor Mirror. The planner and venue should be tagged before guests post.

Pro tips

  • Mark the five drop windows on the printed timeline so your second shooter can prompt you.
  • Caption Drop 5 with one sentence from you, the creator. It costs ten seconds and reads like a love letter.
  • Pre-write the couple's text message for Drop 5 — 'Your gallery is complete and live. Sleep well.' Send it at the moment of handoff.
  • Use Story Mode on Drop 5 to give the couple a one-tap reel they can post the next morning.

Best practices

  • 1Treat each drop as its own micro-deliverable. Apply your gallery branding to all five, not just the final.
  • 2Send Drop 1 from the car so guests at the venue see it before the couple arrives — pure anticipation.
  • 3Save the blueprint as a duplicable event template in Aisle so every booking starts from this rhythm.
  • 4Review your drop times in analytics after every wedding. Adjust the rhythm to match how your couples behave.

Troubleshooting

If something goes wrong

A drop missed its window because uploads were still processing.

Publish the drop anyway — Aisle will release each clip as it finishes. The couple sees a live trickle instead of a frozen folder.

The couple isn't getting drop notifications.

Confirm they opened the gallery link at least once (it activates push). If still missing, resend the link — opening it again subscribes them.

Drop 5 reel won't generate.

Make sure at least 20 clips are uploaded. Story Mode needs a minimum length to pace the reel. Add any 5-second filler from earlier in the day if you're under.

Frequently asked

Can I run the blueprint solo with no second shooter?

Yes — most of our top creators do. Set phone alarms for each drop window so you don't have to track time mentally.

What if the wedding runs long and the last dance slips past midnight?

Drop 5 should still go live before the couple leaves the venue, not at a fixed clock time. Anchor to the moment, not the time.

Does this work for elopements with 6 guests?

Yes — collapse to three drops (Getting Ready, Ceremony, Reception). The rhythm matters more than the count.

Do the drops count toward my plan's monthly delivery limit?

No. Drops are part of the same gallery and count as one delivery toward your plan.
