About Aisle
Editorial standards
How Aisle researches, writes, reviews, fact-checks, and updates every guide on this site.
Who writes Aisle
Every article on Aisle is written by a named author with verifiable experience in wedding content creation. Authors include working creators (250+ weddings shot personally), strategists who advise creators on pricing and packaging, and Aisle's in-house editorial team.
We do not publish anonymous content. If an article appears on Aisle, a real person stands behind it.
How we research
Our writing draws on three primary inputs: first-party data from thousands of Aisle creator accounts; structured interviews with working wedding content creators across North America, Europe, and the UK; and a continuously-updated review of vendor pricing pages, contracts, and creator marketing.
Numbers, formulas, and ranges are tied to a source — either Aisle's own data, a publicly cited source, or a methodology you can read on /methodology.
How we review
Every article is reviewed by a named editor before publication. The reviewer is a different person than the author, with relevant expertise in the article's topic. Pricing and sales articles are reviewed by our production lead; production and gear articles are reviewed by our strategy lead; everything else is reviewed by our Editor in Chief.
The reviewed-by name appears at the top of every article. Click the name to read the reviewer's full bio and expertise.
Fact-checking
Numerical claims (prices, percentages, time estimates, vendor commission rates) are checked against at least two sources before publication. Where ranges exist, we publish the range with the lower and upper bound rather than a single number, and we name the source for each end of the range.
Vendor and product claims (e.g. 'Pixieset offers print fulfillment') are checked against the vendor's own public documentation at the time of publication.
Updates and corrections
Every article carries a published date and an updated date. We re-review cornerstone articles at least every six months and update them when pricing, vendor behavior, or industry norms shift.
When we correct a substantive factual error, we update the article, change the updated date, and add a short editor's note describing the change at the bottom of the page. We do not silently rewrite history.
AI use
Aisle does not publish AI-generated articles. We use AI internally for proofreading, link-checking, and accessibility audits — never for the substance of an article. Every sentence is written or rewritten by a named human author.
Conflicts of interest
Aisle is a product company. We have an obvious commercial interest in recommending Aisle. We try to handle this honestly: comparison articles name where competitors are genuinely better, and we do not pay for inclusion in directories or marketplaces we link to.
If you find a claim you can refute with evidence, email hello@aisle.studio. We read every email and we update or retract when the evidence requires it.
