Troubleshooting
Upload paused? Here's what to do
Why uploads pause at venues, and how Aisle resumes automatically.
You'll get a stalled wedding upload moving again in under a minute.
Quick answer
A pause means the network dropped. Aisle retries with backoff and resumes from the last completed chunk. Keep the tab open, switch to cellular if Wi-Fi is weak, and retry anything marked Failed.
Quick steps
- 1.Keep the tab open and the screen awake.
- 2.Switch to the stronger network — resuming is safe.
- 3.Tap Retry on any Failed file.
- 4.Reselect a file if Aisle asks for access.
Full walkthrough with screens below.
Uploads pause for one reason: the connection dropped. At venues this is normal. Aisle waits, retries with increasing backoff, and resumes from the last completed chunk — never from zero.
What to try, in order
- 1Keep the tab open and the screen on.
- 2If Wi-Fi is weak, switch to cellular — the transfer continues without restarting.
- 3If both networks are down, lock the phone; Aisle resumes when signal returns.
- 4Tap Retry on any file marked Failed.
- 5If Aisle asks you to reselect a file, do — the chunks already uploaded are reused.
If it still won't move
Move toward the venue's router or step into a lobby for the first batch, then continue where you are. Nothing in the queue is lost by waiting.
Common mistakes
- Closing the browser to 'restart' the upload.
- Clearing browser data mid-wedding — that erases the local queue.
Pro tips
- Toggle Airplane Mode on and off to force a clean cellular reconnection.
- Pause the batch, upload your five hero clips first, then resume the rest.
